Headed out for a quick fish today.

Launched @ Gunnamatta bay at around 9.30am & fished in the bay until 12.30. It Started to get very windy around midday so left early.

fish were biting though. Dropped down a burley bucket full of chicken pellets, aniseed pellets and mashed up pillies. Sounder was showing plenty of fish below once the burley kicked in.

lost a few good tailor as I was fishing light.

They weren’t fussy, taking prawn, pillies & live nippers.

a couple of tarwhine around 25cm caught, as well as the usual undersized snapper.

tried for squid just outside the bay, but was  way too windy -  left after a couple of casts.

Took home a 40cm tailor & 35cm trevally

A couple of nice fish there.  It has been ages since I caught a Tarwhine.

Plenty of tarwhine in the Hacking, but not many above the legal 20cms.
