jenno64 Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Headed out this arvo for a squid bash outside the Hacking but the nor east breeze was whipping up a swell that was coming over my bow so I turned back in shore. Had a quick go for squid inside the port but no chockies so I pumped a few nippers at low tide and picked up a couple of 40+ whiting as the tide turned. Fair result and the fish are cleaned and ready for a meal this week. 15
Yowie Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Very nice. Any whiting that goes past 40 is a good one.
Bluebenbomb Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 The first whiting is a stonker! You can see that it's only a tad shorter than the second, but is much fatter. Enjoy the Whiting!
Larkin Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 It was wasn’t too bad earlier on Sunday, but the wind picked up just before midday. The current and wind made for a very fast drift in bate bay after 11am - to around 3knots. Always good to have a fall back plan - well done on some nice whiting!
Bill Morris Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Nice fish mate. Were you anchored or drifting for the whiting? Cheers
Pickles Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Some stockers there Jenno’ Rob, well done, great little fighters and tasty indeed.
Little_Flatty Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Interesting to see you and @Yowie finding quality whiting all through winter, @jenno64. It's been educational reading your posts. Well done. That's a great feed right there.
