Cold dark water today over the reef's, made things even quiter than last week if that's possible. Hit the water early again given the forecast was poor for mid morning. Four of us onboard for a catch of 2 just legal snapper, 1 baker and some very small rock cod!!!!

The constant pouring rain, wind and cold temps didn't stop us pushing on until midday, which by then the wind was almost impossible to fish, even with the boat constantly in reverse backing into the wind.

It was so hard going that we all kept having fits of giggles for staying out battling on through it!!!!!......just one more drop.

It wasn't quite so funny when we spotted birds so rushed over only to find they were picking through toilet paper and chunks from a large boat that had just passed!!!!!.....even the birds were desperate.

Couldn't find a salmon on the beach yesterday, hopefully when this yuk water passes things will pick up.

Talking with the charter operators around Sydney area the fishing has been highly variable this season Jon and my experience is no where near the action of last year at this time. I’’d Hazzard a guess it’s been poor and variable in most places.
Hang in there mate.

Sounds like a shitty story Jon. :074:

Pickings are slim, lucky up here that the flatties are biting outside, otherwise it would be pike souffle. :puke:
