Headed out from the Hacking on Wednesday arvo with my mate. He said no fishing this week for him, then decided on Monday he needed to go fishing to have a break from the house. 🤣 A break for me also with preparing mum's house for sale. (sorry Rob, I was going to call you for a fish, but running out of time)

We headed south to near Little Marley and found some blue spots, mixed in with many spikies, some used for strip baits.

Still quite a few humpbacks heading north. Light winds forecast from the west, then turning to the north late. Actually from the north early arvo and freshening making for a bumpy ride back.

Anchored in Bate Bay before sunset and pulled out a mixture of reef rubbish. From that lot, kept the reddie at 32cm and the red rockie. Headed home on dark, cleaned the fish, then made it home just on time for the footy kickoff. An entertaining game.

Biggest flatties at 45cm.

Nice work Dave!

I hopefully pick the boat up from my mechanic this arvo and will head out tomorrow, probably up the Georges. We'll catch up for a fish soon! Game was a good one!!

Thanks Rob.

Rather quiet at the present up river, the water is quite cool and clear.

Not sure how you always get them to smile for the pic 😂

Ha, I was thinking the same thing, so many happy flatties ready to be eaten!

Threw back many more critters - maori wrasse, baker, green eel, yakkas, port jackson
