Jervis Bay this morning

Recommended Posts

So due to a scheduled power outage at work a team building exercise was planned. Walk from Creswell to Hyams Beach, have breakfast and walk back. Now breakfast sounded good but I only walk along a beach to get to the next gutter. If beaches were supposed to be strolled along then they would have footpaths.

I arrived at the north end of Sailors Beach just as the sun was coming up. Frozen pipis for bait because I couldn't get worms. Was chasing Whiting & Bream.

Absolutely glorious morning with Dolphins frolicking and absolutely no bites to ruin the serenity. Did have a few crabs messing with me but they let go before I could see them.

Not a bad way to spend a morning, though a fish or two would have been a bonus. The fish are there, but super wary in such clear water. First and last light of the day are best, or when there’s a swell running.

There’s good pipis along that beach too most of the time.

This cracked me up! good on you for getting out there.

Yeah I told that to the boss when he asked me why I didn't walk. He laughed too.

Thanks for the info. Was a lowish tide and calm which was probably not helping. Bit of WNW wind. Still better than trudging up a beach.

Haha, love it.

Good to be out there! better than behind a desk

The view from my desk is pretty nice. I just get frustrated when I can see fish busting up and can't have a go at them.
