Little_Flatty
Hi all, Thought I'd share a few videos that has been propelling my interest in lure making. First off, anything by The Engineered Angler is absolute gold. This guy (Franco) is a professional engineer and brings this expertise into play when designing his lures. One great example is in his explanation of why walk-the-dog lures behave in this manner (centre of drag ahead of centre of mass): For a simple getting started project, you can look at his popscicle stick lure: Who needs an excuse to eat more paddle pops?! Funnily enough I haven't got round to making this yet, but that hasn't stopped me from eating ice blocks There is also Haru834 who produces balsa and cypress baits and provides templates for the lures: Finally, anything by the legendary Greg 'Doclures' Vinall is also gold. Apart from his youtube channel you can also find many (free) templates and e-books on his make wooden lures website. This stickbait has caught me a few fish already, including my first topwater flatty. Enjoy! 5
