I have used them in boats but can’t say i felt safe doing it , had a mate who had one catch fire while heating up lunch out at browns mountain - the whole lot went over the side of the boat and now lives in the murky depths 🤣🤣🤣

Done similar hundreds of times. We used to just put the cooker on the bait board, right at the back, out in the breeze,  ever had a drama. Sometimes we would cook sausages at home, then take them on the boat so they only need a minute in a pan to heat up, some pre buttered bread and you’re set.

I have used one on bait board at back of my 5.6 quinnie but I wouldn't  do it now unless Im pulled up against a bank.  If I want hot food on a night fish I have hot dogs.  I just keep frankfurts warm in a thermos full of hot water.  Ron

I have just viewed on YouTube people catching hairtail and then having a dinner cooked on board with a canister cooker, has anyone done and lived to tell how it is done.

If it was this video then it was me.
No Hairtail but.... a memorable evening nevertheless  !

cheers Zoran
