james Cutler
Now the ocean is behaving itself again, I went to Manly rocks looking for Luderick. Arrived around 7am. Nice & cool. Sun was up. Nobody around. I like this fishing on weekdays. Nothing much to report. Caught six Luderick. 32 to 35 cm. I was there for about two hours.
Burger
I started my rock fishing for luds off the Shelley beach rocks, love that spot. You feel like you’re nowhere near the city down there

big Neil
A great way to forget how cold it is when you are getting some fish as the sun starts to show its happy face. I love the serenity of watching the float when fishing for Luderick. Mesmerising! Well done James. bn

I seem to never see it without a bunch of divers underneath, so never thought it's a good spot to fish... Or you go around somewhere on the other side?
Burger
Off the other side, there’s a path down from sthn end of the top carpark. Shelley beach itself is part of a marine reserve. https://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fishing/marine-protected-areas/aquatic-reserves/cabbage-tree-bay-aquatic-reserve Edited June 23 by Burger 2

Burger
I haven’t been there for about 40 years, but there used to be cabbage growing there. oops, just realised this was probably aimed at james … 😆 Edited June 24 by Burger
