saltrix
My pictures went out before I put in my report, but not much to say except it was very rough this morning a bit later and we came in early against a rising southerly. I think we got 7 bluespot and two marbled flathead which I think are often mistaken for dusky flathead but the tail markings are different.

saltrix
Sorry the pictures went out before I wrote the report. We were at DY wide in 50 metres fishing with 1lb sinkers and pilchards and salted bonito for bait, got the red when we went too far and hit the reef as we prefer to drift the sandy spots between the reefs. The fish were very localised and caught them two at a time when we found them. As usual the spikeys were a menace and wasted a lot of time throwing them back. Yowie
Nice bag of fish, couple of marbled ones there as you mentioned. Reddie is a bonus. The spikies are a P.I.T.A. to hook up, retrieve, unhook, re-bait, drop over again. At least a couple of them make good bait. I find around 200 feet off Cronulla, no spikies, but some red spot whiting instead.
