Palm Beach Friday.

Recommended Posts

Woke up early. Being retired that shouldn't happen.

The sun was on the way. They say it might rain next week. How unusual.

Blackfish were the go. Got the Berly going. Caught two straight away. 34cm.

Went quite changed bait. Had two rods with me. Next up a Drummer ( released ) Then two more blackfish.

Caught another two. That was enough.

Headed home. Called into see to elderly Pensioners. (Neighbours) Gave them three fish. They were happy.

@Green Hornet You know more about fishing than I do. I was taught to experiment. If it doesn't work, try something else. The same goes for bait, lures & gear. That is why we have so much gear. One thing I leant years ago. If you are having a bad day fishing, walk away, there is always tomorrow.

Not so sure about knowing more than you James. I don’t get out much these days due to poor health and find myself not keeping up with the latest ideas and technology, though when I get out for a luderick fish I’m still using the same rig I used 50 years ago and getting good results.
You’re 100% correct though, if something isn’t working try something else, whether that be a lure/rig change or targeting another species and if you still fail, there’s always the pub or coffee shop and time to think about plan B.
