Snapper in parra

Recommended Posts

I've fished a bit around cabarita just doing the regular soft plastics and bait fishing id do anywhere else in the harbour and have never caught a single snapper there. I've always been told snappers are very strong visual hunters and like the clear water so maybe that deters them.

yeah I always wonder how far those blue water species would love to trek into the estuary eg. snapper/king/salmon/squid. I read about squid report near kissing point (also @Little_Flatty's amazing top water in tarban creek). Personally the furthest I saw people got squid is from clarke's point. My friend spotted aussie salmon at Rhodes but my experience is they mostly stopped around five dock. There's a video from HugoSyd on youtube catching king bustups at putney, mental content but I never encountered them even I consistently fishing there for half a year

Ye me neither. Never even heard of them going up as far as Drummoyne let alone Putney which is why I was surprised

Ye it would be interesting to know. Salmon do go up quite a bit I think and kings occasionally but snapper was new to me. I have caught an Aussie salmon at meadowbank before and they seem to quite frequently go up to around five dock/ Drummoyne
