Crowdy Head. Snapper Country.

Received a phone call from a mate on Tuesday. Sick of this Sydney weather. Got any ideas?

Yes & you're paying. Can I bring some mates? As I said you are paying.

Hooked up the boat early Wednesday morning. Where are we going? North, I will tell you when to stop.

The fishing was great. A bit overcast but no rain. There was four of us.

Sunrise Thursday morning & the snapper were full on. Plus, bream, tarwhine & flathead. Caught a few undersize (released)

Sunrise again Friday morning. More snapper. Caught 3 squid. Didn't expect that. I was using the jigs that @Larkin wrote about. Never been into squid fishing.

Snapper sizes were 46cm to 51cm. We caught 15 altogether, probably released another 8 undersized.

The guys were amazed they hadn't been fishing like this before.

Lots of laughs & a great time. I forgot what it was like to get away for a few days.

I think we will be going again in the future.

Did you find the fish still in the deeper water or have they moved in?

Always good to get out of the city for some fresh air James. Throwing in some mates and a few productive trips in the boat is a great way to recharge the batteries.
