Ryder
I doubt this will interest many, but this was a ‘reel’ shock to me. I’ve fished the 4” version for years in the estuary and a larger 4 3/8” Avon off the rocks. When I recently scored a 5 1/2” Trudex I was gobsmacked, this thing is a beast compared, almost twice the size. Alloy reel seat and a large ‘nipple’ at the back of the spindle, so different. XD351
Never even heard of a trudex before ! I wonder what it was meant for ? Maybe off the rocks or something? Looks to be on mint condition !
Ryder
Here is a pic from the old Anglers Omnibus. That’s the 4 inch. The larger spool on the 5 1/2 should make for faster retrieves after a long drift off the rocks.
Green Hornet
Nice reels @Ryder. You see the larger Tuudex/Rapidex models come up occasionally on eBay UK. How’s the weight difference between it and the 4 inch? Quite a bit I imagine. Edited September 3 by Green Hornet

wazatherfisherman
Choice reels there Ryder, I also have the 4".. They really are quality built reels. Don't know anyone who has the big version, probably pretty rare over here. Great acquisition to your collection and I bet it looks good on the
