spraka
Hey Everyone! Was going down the rabbit hole of beach fishing videos on Youtube (still learning how to beach fish) and came across videos of people catching snapper and tuna off the beach. Was curious has anyone tried this, and if so any tips to get started? Edited September 22 by spraka
Green Hornet
Snapper aren’t a fish I’d purposely target from the beach, but I used to get a few when targeting jew of an evening using fresh slab baits. Most were caught close to reefs, though a few were well away from any form of rocky structure. All were quality size fish, probably around 3kg and up.
frankS
I can honestly say I have never caught a Snapper from/on a beach. The closest I have come is fishing from the rocks at Snapper point ( central coast ) I hooked a large Snapper and walked it along the rocky shoreline to a small sandy beach and landed it. Ryder
Years ago I was told by another member ‘Crossfire63’he used to get them off the beach regularly at Manning Point mid north coast. Straight out from the club, there is a close inshore reef. Edited September 22 by Ryder Added member proper name
