YouTube Michael Lane Fishing Near death fishing experience on Goulburn 13.52 long. The video clearly shows the danger of current/snags/location. The angler was extremely lucky. I have been in a similar situation in my tinny and although I didn't end up in the water, I could have. Please take a few minutes and watch the video. Hoods Posted September 26 Share Posted September 26 Had a similar experience with a surf ski as a kid in the Bidgee. The constant pressure will push you down under the logs and if the ski/kayak/whatever comes behind you there is little hope of extracting yourself even with lots of help. The water keeps pushing you down and trapping you in the logs etc below - usually in a narrow fork.
