hi everyone,

on my last post you guys gave me excellent advice and I wont be bringing any bait with me and only lures to cowan creek. I just wanna check, how deep are the flats? and is it dangerous to walk in like is it very soft and easy to slip?

I was up there a month ago, on low tide, try get to the flats at the end of coal and candle creek, can be accessed by a walking track near akuna bay, here's the Google maps link of the flats https://maps.app.goo.gl/hKFSnJ6NDUwjtnfcA

There are heaps of whiting, bream and flathead around here, I found the most success using a Berkeley honeyball 38mm lure and yabbies. If possible the flats in yeoland bay are amazing but not sure if they are accessible by foot.

There's also an odd abundance of squid around here as I had squid following my baits up so might be worth throwing a squid jig around the deeper bits.

Good luck 🤙

But pretty much any bit of flats with a bit of seaweed and structure in Cowan Creek has heaps of fish so find an accessible one then catch some big dogs
