Just back from our annual 2 week break at Ulladulla, weather was a bit hit and miss with strong winds impacting our fishing opportunities and keeping us on land a few times (time to replenish the rigs). Fished mostly Nth of Ulladulla in varying depths of 30 to 50m, with early starts and slow trips to avoid the whales. Fished mostly float lining rigs when conditions allowed with most success using this method, the only drawback with this method is the Mutton birds after sun rise. Last Saturday saw plagues of Blue bottles which tangled in the lines and sea anchor making for a sometimes painful removal. The Headlands Cararan park is a great spot to stay and are always accommodating as a club we have been heading down this way for 10 years.

Looks like you did well some of the time, judging by your photo of the fish lined up. Hard to get ideal conditions for any length of time. Some quality sized Snapper and a cracking Bonito.

Well done, bn

Looks like you had a few good sessions! Some nice reds in the mix! 👍

Those blue bottles have been everywhere the last 3-4 weeks - I thought I had tangled in someone’s stray line - then realised it was blue bottle tentacles as I tried to pull it off - luckily was wearing gloves.

Nice bags of reddies.

Pickles is heading that way soon. There you go Bob, some reddies about for you to catch.

Hi Donna,

I did see your email but unfortunately my email is playing up and won't send for some reason. If you can merge the accounts that would be great.

Say G'day to Swordie for me.

Cheers,

Thommo

Hey Pickles,

If you're heading that way, probably worth a look off Manyana, that's where we found most of them.

Forgot to mention one of the ladies caught a 960gram King George Whiting in 40m off Narrawalee which was a surprise.

Cheers,

Thommo
