Quick fish, explore and a Nice King fish to top it off.

Had a Job I started on Tuesday and Had no access to finish it today.

every chance I get I just have to go fishing.

Hit  the bait grounds by 5am and quickly filled the live bait tank with yakkas, headed out Maroubra way, fished some spots I know and sounded out new spots where my Gps 3d map was showing with no luck but plenty of bait around.

I then headed to another spot I have fishing before and it didnt take long for the Yellow tale bait to get ambushed, fight didnt last long, got smoked and had no choice but tighten the drag a bit it popped the line at the hook, Kingy won its freedom.

second drift and bam, on again, took my time with him a bit, I wind 10 meters of color and the fish peels 10 meters of color , this went on for about half a dozen times, then I started to win some line and then I could see color and it took off again, as hard as it is, it is good fun, I finally won the battle and netted the fish with some hi 5's and had a drink to catch my breath at the same time, the fish was just under a meter, we had another 6 or so drifts with another one getting hooked and as quick as took the bait it spat the hook, turned to my mate and he was on, it also spat the hook, by this time the winds come up 3 hours before it was due, oh well, headed back inside the bay around molinex point and had livies down but no takers, how ever we did get a few Trevally and Bream, at 1pm we called it

Good fish there Basil, at least you pulled up a good sized one after dropping a couple.

Was heading out this week, but no time. Must be next week now.

Quality Kingie Basil. You certainly are mixing up the species in your recent outings. Great that you can get out so regularly and do what you really enjoy.
