Pickles Posted November 9 Posted November 9 The Cicadas have started hatching in numbers (many hundreds on the trees in the back paddock at home) and the Bass have started responding to surface poppers and lures. Smallest catch in last three sessions is 24 and a few in the high 30’s, but nothing over 40cm. 9
lhan Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Thanks for the report @Pickles, just bought a cicada lure and it's on the way. Can't wait to hook some good bass! 1
big Neil Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Gee that's cicada paradise Bob. Don't see them so thick very often. No wonder the Bass are going crazy. Looking forward to catching up in a few weeks. bn 1
Ryder Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I fished with Royce today, he was up your way last week and the Bass were taking Cicada Flies. Yellow was the go to colour. 1
lastworm Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Best time of year, I feel like the hatches have come a little later than usual this year. Not sure when my next outing will be but cannot wait!

Hill373737 Posted November 18 Posted November 18 It'll be a great season for bass if the cicadas are that thick already - good to see! 1
