Trailer battery monitor?

A breakaway battery monitor is a device installed inside the cabin of the tow vehicle, near the driver, to provide a visual and sound warning if the breakaway battery charge falls below a specified level. In every state except for NSW, a breakaway battery monitor is optional.

I posted this in a topic way back in 2014 ... I solved it with a dash mounted voltage meter, a relay and an Auto Electrician.

My new trailer has no battery on board. I have an Al-ko IQ7 compressed air unit driving the hydraulics. The "compressed air" is the battery.

Did you also fit some kind of buzzer as it has to be both visual and audio enabled

I don't recall the audio requirement being in the RMS rules ... it wasn't when I had my trailer done way back then... and it passed every year since up to 2022 when I sold it. 🤷‍♂️
