I found an old bloke on gumtree who had an old reel for the drag washers I needed

any way

when I got there the reel was a clunker but the washers were what I wanted

so for $50 I got the clunker reel

a shimano tx2000 on a taipan rod and a shimano 2 piece aeroglass

the are glass I will use for my Sedona when I get it

i didn’t really want the tx200 and taipan but I felt sorry for him and thought he needed the money

im gullible 😂IMG_6596.thumb.jpeg.e929e64ee04ee0d3657f41ecf90246b3.jpegIMG_6595.thumb.jpeg.089573a4e1ac1ad77c39cd272aff3580.jpeg

I was unsure as the washers are leather

with carbon fibre yo use a leather punch to shape them or scissors?

were do you buy carbon fibre  , Ebay ?

Be wary of the ones on ebay - often they are composite with fiberglass in the middle. There is an Australian store which sell pure carbon fibre sheets. I'm not sure if the site rules allow me to mention the name. There are a variety of methods of cutting them. I think a compass divider is the best way. Allows for an infinite number of sizes. You file one point into a cutting edge. Wear a mask so you don't breathe the dust.

I cut my on carbontex washers and use cals grease with them. The carbon sheets I use are of different thickness and can be cut with decent scissors.

type CORBONTEX into the google

Aussie shop not ebay or America

They also have "how to " tutorial

easy peasy and silky smooth drag for multiple reels from 1 sheet
