Hi everyone,

i got my hands on the DJI pocket 2 (don't ask me how you wont believe it), and I wanna buy a chest strap and begin doing fishing vlogs on my yt channel. However I see that the camera is not water resistant. Does anyone have experience with this and whether it'll be safe to use while fishing?

Tight lines,

Odysea

You could cover it in clear plastic, then use it to film like how it's done when shooting a movie in certain conditions (for example, a raining scene is being filmed but the cameras are covered in plastic just in case) or make a DYI camera cover (check some videos about it). U just really need to change now u wrap the protective cover or the home made cam cover from the dyi videos because of the cameras shape but im sure it could be done. Looking forward to your fishing vlog.

what type of plastic? is it cling wrap or something? the normal waterproof cases are 60 dollars and I'm NOT gonna pay for that lol

I guess cling wrap could be used as long as u don't wrap it around excessively and cover the camera too much. If its too much hassle, Christmas is just around the corner. Also, PM sent.

I think you should ask yourself the question, "Do I get wet whilst fishing?", and if the answer is 100% no, then I wouldnt bother.

However, if you do or the probability is high of getting wet, then invest in a proper case. Think of it as insurance, itll save you the hassle/money in the long run.

That camera has a gimble like head, so pretty much it has external moving parts which most likely wont be sealed (or only sealed to a small level).
