My second morning try chasing pelagics in the harbour started very slow. I have been seeing them busting up a few times within casting distance. Yesterday, they started feeding on the surface right sbove my line. My lure was way ahead and started retrieving as fast as I could and right before I slowed down so that the lure wouldn't jump to me I saw one of them chasing it but couldn't hook it. Today, I wanted to try again but I had zero bites in 2 hours switchingbetween metals and 3 inch minnow. I saw two large fish feeding near surface but by the time I casted around those areas they were already gone or not interested. After the disappointment, I had 10-15 minutes left to go to work and decided to try grubs to avoid the donut. I took my chances with a 2 inch grub and 1/8th jighead and literally at the first cast I caught a tiny snapper. I didn't bother measuring it but probably around 15 cm. I wanted to continue but 1/8 was sinking too slow so I switched to a 2.5 inch grub with 1/6 jighead. After a few casts I caught a bigger snapper. I had to leave to go to work but they kept biting so I stayed for a few mıre minutes and finally caught my PB snapper.

Almost legal, but lucky guy lived to see another day. I somehow managed to bend the 1H hook when I was trying to unhook it. It was such a fun fight on light outfit. I can't imagine if I hooked a salmon or king with this.

Very well done with the Snapper. I admire your keenness to go fishing before work. It must be very hard to pull yourself away when the fish are on the bite and work is calling. Keep up the good work, mate. I enjoy your reports.

Thanks. The temptation to call in sick was quite high, but I chose to be 5 mins late to work instead :) Not sure how bad it is, but I is certain that I have become a fishing addict. Lucky for me that my wife also started to enjoy fishing recently, so it is not causing serious marital problems :)

Hey @devoker - great report. 5mins late (you were on the “other line” and caught up eh.

Don’t worry about being a fishing addict - Jesus 4 closest mates were fishermen and 8 of the 12 disciples.  🤩

Hi Matt
Mate you really are addicted - you fished Saturday and Sunday and then fronted up again during the working week!  It is great to see such passion

Well, we also went another topwater session on Monday afternoon, and another morning session today 😃 I was hoping to get bored or frustrated at some point so I can rest a bit but it hasn't happened yet.
