Hi All!

Thinking about walking around the area to the East of Apple Tree Bay this week, casting along the shore. Marine maps show that there is a decent drop off at a spot where the shoreline turns South. So casting North-West along the bend seem like a good idea. Anyone been there - is that stretch walkable or it's just all bush? Last time I've been nearby, was so much ticks, I'm not too keen if there is a lot of bushbashing involved.

Cheers!

Go the other way (past the marina)on the falling tide-wade or get out on the sandbars as the tide drops-great flattie spots along there, some really good whiting and even the odd jew.Being in the water means no ticks-but a good coating of Bushmaster will stop them anyway.

aayyy finally someone is trying out my fav spot! There are dropoffs, but the chances of getting jews in the day are very slim especially in the summer, I've only got luck with a tiny 30cm jew along the rocks of bobbin head. However if you go to the sand banks like paddy said either past the marina, or further up there's sand flats, there's big whiting there (go search it up on youtube). Squid is pretty easy to get if you catch the right conditions just at the wharf close to the boat ramp in apple tree. Hope this helps!

Thanks guys! I'll try the north side first then.

Are there any blue swimmer or mudcrabs there? I might try going for them as well if so...
