md5 Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Just a quick report on my trip to Lake Mac over the weekend and the "Let's fish Lake Mac" competition. Arrived on the Friday night and launched the boat at the Dora Creek Boat ramp. Navigation in complete darkness of the creek made me a bit anxious but was totally worth it as I was able to use the private jetty at the house I stayed in and get everything ready for the next morning. Fished almost exclusively on soft plastics - mainly my favorite chase baits 'curly prawn'. Over Saturday/Sunday sessions we caught a few flatties in the 45-55cm range and a few smaller ones, as well as 2 decent flounders. As for the competition results - no luck with trophy fish or the tagged $25 000 fish, I guess I am just bad at gambling And here's a few nice photos from the trip. 18
TheFishyFisherman Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Shame about the award but nothing beats fishing!
Yowie Posted November 28 Posted November 28 The photos look good, a nice area to visit, and a chunky flattie.
