Nambucca Heads Boys Trip (Again)

Hi all,

Just wanted to share a report of my endeavours from the last week at Nambucca Heads. The small creek tributaries of the Nambucca river hold some lovely mangrove jacks this time of year. 

On our first day we managed a nice Cod and Jack casting soft plastics into tight structure. I was using weightless deisel minnows rigged weedless in pearl and red and my mate used the holt productions prawn.

Day 2: Rest

Day 3: We attempted to catch some GTs in the bellinger river. Despite one hookup and lots of surface hits we didn't land any.  

Day 4: Another session in the skinny creeks produced this stunning small jack. 

Day 5: Break water session at the heads of the Nambucca produced this awesome Cod and a 40cm Bream on live-baited herring.

Have let them all go thus far. Would be keen to try one some day but I just love them too much to keep 😂
