First post i think... long time lurker and yet another yak fisher.
Was sitting on a yak in the bay just before with the resuce chopper buzzing in, and then out, and then in again, and then out.... Got to the point where i knew it was either serious or a training excercise, but resisted the urge to paddle further around and investigate. Turns out it was another rock fishing accident (there's been way too many recently) with a bloke falling 3 metres and smashing his back and ankle doing so. Not the easiest place to be rescued either with that hairy entry in by foot... found some more info about it here.
