  1. Hi Raiders

Decided to accept the invite to chase reds of Bellambi headed out with some good mates Joey,Marshall and Craig

The 5.8 m haines was in the water just on sunrise as we headed out there were a few birds around

so in went the skirts Bonito were on and after six or seven we decided to chase the snapper this is what we came for.

As we got to the spot down went the lines things were a little quiet at first until we drifted onto a nice bit of reef.

From this point on things started to hot up as some quality fish found the back of the net we caught

4 snapper 3 mowies 5 leather jackets just to name a few.

All in all a cracker of a day with good company can't ask for much more than that.

Just a couple of pics of the snappers

sorry for the poor quality (camera phone)

  2. I was out there aswell on sunday and you were dead right about the weather it wasn't as good as they said it was going to be got to the fad by 7 am but only stayed for half hour as wind and heavy rain picked up decided to head back in and fish the bay.

    well done top catch

  3. Sad news for anyone that watches adventure bound on ch 31 with the passing of Neil Dedesco one of the main hosts of the show.

He caught a variety of fish on the show from whiting to bream to kings and jew and lots more.

Neil was a legend and will be dearly missed by his frends and family, could not beleive the sad news when passed away last week in a free diving accident.

  4. Went fishing for blackies today, had dropped 4 fish and was thinking maybe time for a change of hook. At the same time

a large school of salmon appeared just in front of me feeding on baitfish. Thought I would try using the blackfish float with (6ft drop) as a "popper" thru the school... well all hell broke loose as 6lb line screamed off the reel for a short period, then the fish self released. It worked a treat but my little size10 hook was as straightened and now certainly needed changing. I suppose I never stood a chance but it was very exciting. Will have another rod next time rigged with lure ready to go. :1prop:

Sounds like u had fun thats what counts in the end.

you'll be ready for em next time.

  5. post-10476-1240317832_thumb.jpgHi raiders

headed out last week to botany bay fad, trolled skirts and got smashed with stripe tuna everywhere no dollies around at all. Got a bit bored of catching stripe's so we headed for the peak for a bottom bash.

Had a few live yakkas and send them down but the only thing down there were small leather jackets, lines kept on getting bitten and it was such a waste of live bait.

Just as we were leaving saw a huge shark fin come to the surface don't know what sort it was because it was very overcast i thing it was curious to check out my sea anchor.

That other fish is a mowie got it at the peak

bottom bashing.Thought the stripies were bonito

won't be be bringing them home again not good eating

gave some away and kept a a few for bait for next time

Fun cathching them thats about it.
