Nice fish mate

Good chance there was only about six to eight boats out when we arrived. All were under size and could only manage them on sluggos while we were hooked up on baits. You could see them working the surface. Cast your sluggo amongst them and they wouldn't take it... Fussy buggers

Just after high, most of them were tim tam size but also got a couple 25-30cm hoods. Strip and whole dead both worked for us.

Hit Botany this afternoon for a quick fish, since the last 5 harbour trips produced ZIP thought I`d try somewhere different.In the end managed 12 squid in half an hour and hooked multiple rats around Molix Pt (excuse spelling) Cant wait to hit the harbour is been 2 weeks since ive been there last and it seems thing are hotting up How did you other raiders go??

Finally some decent fish in the harbour, perseverance payed off, lets just hope there here to stay. On ya Jim

Bad luck Jim, Hope things change soon. This unseasonal weather is driving everyone nuts i think, fishing and work wise for me. Hopefully things will change by Monday

Went out this afternoon in hope of a king but straight of the bat i knew it wasn't going to happen due to dirty green water. Couldn't find any yakkas and only manged one squid. After soaking the fresh squid for 2hrs without a touch we decided to troll back to the ramp with metal slices. As we hit Quarantine a school of salmon surfaced so we decided to chase and cast. Hooked two in the 2-3kg mark. To make a long story short we caught surface breaking fish for the next 2 and a bit hours, non stop around the cardinal markers. Ended up with 25+ fish, many dropped. Mainly Bonito, Tailor and salmon. Great fun Water was at 19.4 at old mans. Is anyone else struggling with kings this season?? Its been 5 outings with no king to show for my efforts

Good on ya, i owe my fishing passion to my father as well.. But yeah after 11am some of those yachts become a bit aggressive, turning meters before your boat, had a few words with a couple of them even though they have amazing direction changing capabilities (To close for my liking). Great to see you got some kings in these horrid conditions. When will the harbour conditions change??? Its already summer

This afternoon thought I`d do a little land base jewy fishing. Normally I would fish the turn of the high but today tried the turn of the low, with a few other factors incorporated just out of curiosity from recent fishing seminar I attended. In the end managed two soapies within an hour, then as the tide went slack things went quiet. An hour later the reel starts screaming! Thinking its was decent Jewie with all its head shakes and long runs, finally see some colour and what do I see, a great big dirty eel almost 1.5m long LOL (Crushed) Got all jewies on prawns around 12:30pm in the upper georges
