  1. One tip is that the sooner you send it out, the more chance you've got at getting a hookup.Cos it is fresh and colourful.Other than that you could always jump in my boat!!!
  2. Well done penguin.Sick bluefin! SICK ! What a magnificent catch. I'm sure that you've made every raider jealouse.Must have given one hell of a fight, can't wait to hear. Brett
  3. Very well done and thankyou Searabbit.Tis' one of those calming experiences just looking at them for me.
  4. I don't see an electric motor on the front
  5. yeah i went fishing today off the rocks in the Eastern Suburbs from a spot that usually produces.Burley'd up well as per usual, caught 1 drummer about 1.5kg and about 4 undersize ones that i threw back. The water was very clear, the sun was, well, very sunny, and the fish were definitely off the bite.
  6. i have found that the southerns tend to live longer when slow trolling them.Don't know why,but for that reason i prefer them
  7. Don't mean to get you down robeebee, but i've had this stinkin' thing since Monday. The surf has been going off, today the rock fishing looked insanely good, have been holed up at home with cabin fever. But the swell will be back and the fish are still there, hope you get better soon. Brett
  8. on the bright side, there will be a few more deep spots in the bay to fish.On the dark side it will be very hard to get a boat near the new docks to fish legally.Nice to hear there are still some quality fish in close, well done
  9. Good one squid hunter!!! That little fish looks like a painted grinner (we catch when flathead fishing). Not sure though
  10. well done.Credit where it is due.Top story too!

Thats a good fish, well done for it not to bite you off. They are edible, the flesh is soft and smells quite strong.Great bait when filleted.
  12. you can buy uncooked royal reds in frozen blocks in the freezers at the fish markets.I've bought them before to make gow gee's (chinese). But have to agree, the endeavour is cheap and good bait.
  13. just wait till i make up my rock-fishing stand hooklineanddrinker.I am half way through making it.trying to decide whether to make it 3' or 4' off the ground. Will take photo and put it on FR when finished.ps.it has not been tried before as far as i know,if anyone has heard of such an invention please let me know. You can hold onto it when the swells hit Adrian,I'll look down to make sure you're OK.
