  1. Ive been out saturday, sunday and monday. Sunday we kept 4 flatties around the 40cm mark and a couple of squid. Yesterday caught 10 flatties and not one keeper. All around 30cm.... Painful in the hacking at times
  2. Yesterday I went out on Port Hacking early with a mate. Half an hour after sunrise we had 20 decent size yellowtail. We trawled from the headland at jibbon point all the way to Marley at about 3-5 knots. I had 3 liveys out at about 15, 25 and 35 metres off the back. 2 with 8 O octupus hooks through the nostril only, and 1 with weighted with a hook through the nostril. The boat was just in gear and the live baits were struggling. At 4 knots they dragged along the surface pretty often. Is this normal and if not, what can i do to correct it. The only luck we had was at Big Marley when i stopped the boat for a minute. Also how close to the shore do you trawl when looking for Kingys. Thanks FR's
  3. I totally agree with you Gazza, the wharfs are there for the boats. I hate it when i put the boat in and move to the wharf to pick up passengers and people wont pull their lines in! Also i have had more luck in the Port Hacking in the last month than in the last 6 years. Thursday night i caught my first jew, yesterday i went down Garie and cant beleive how good the fishing is. As soon as i dropped anchor and the burley bucket i saw a school of kingys swim right under the boat! First time down there and i plan on going back on monday!
