G'day all, I'm having a problem ive owned a daiwa certate 3500 hd for a year and half now, I've had 20 lb braid on it since new with no dramas. But last year caught some big long tail tuna on it, also hooked some unstoppables on this reel and got spooled, ive gone to respool it and it lays the line More on the top half of the reel than the bottom half, so I'm wondering do I just need to add or remove a spacer/washer under the spool , if so where do I get these from? And how do I go about replacement ? Any help would be great thank you!

hey mate, braid is great for chasing squid 6-10pd is good as for leader 8-10 pd and it doesnt have to be fluro, rods around 7ft medium taper are my preference they seem to take the shock from the squids pulsing runs rather than a fast taper, but its personal preference,jigs and technique it all depends on the depths and country you are fishing if you are fishing with current i would stick too 2.5 and 3 but mix it up, same with colours.but most of all make sure your in the zone slow is the go. Hey all, have been viewing this site for a couple of months but never posted so here goes, been chasing damn jewies for the last couple of months without much sucess, so with the good reports filtering out of the harbour and the water warming thought is was time to start downrigging out wide so me and a mate headed out early to grab some live squid, the weather was good for fish not for us with a bit of rain and slop and chop we persisted and came up with this fella and a couple of smaller fish lets hope its going to fire this summer.
