Gday ALL, just a quick post.. had the day off work today woke up at 7am looked out side and said to my self U RIPPER.. top day so it was time to head out to the bay... gotta love a mid week fish.. boat ramp was quiet no queing up and plenty of parking... hit the water around 830am went straight out to the container wall... (( TRAVALLEY ALLEY)) fished for a few hours then headed to the the 3rd runway.. landed 6 keeper trevs all just over 30cms weird thing was though as i was fishing for trevs mainly with peeled prawns i caught << 7 >> whiting... ALL keepers.. just a bit of a shock when i was fishing in around 6 to 7meters deep water as ive only ever caught whiting in the sand flats shallows.. so yea always some thing new wen it comes to fishing also caught a bream at 26cms and a small snapper at 22cm both were released... So all in all a great day out in the bay.. EXCEPT for me getn sunburnt stupid me for got to brng sunscreen and a hat.. ahh well anyways looking forward to hitting the bay again on the weekend WEATHER PROVIDING OFCOURSE.. till next time goodbye ALL Steve... lol ohh kevvie ya let me down mate... ive only just brought a boat and only hit the bay 3 times.. im in need of some good spots as i no NONE fished the 3rd runway on sunday and we got 9 good trevs.. but im keen to start catchin some decent flatties... i spose towras gotta be a start?? S/P's i must try them aye... what would u throw at a flattie if u were bait fishing? half a pillie yea?

Well Done Mate good effort some real beauties there... what bait were you guys using and how deep was the water you were fishing in?? i bet them beauties went down well with a few sitting back watching those mighty tigers get up... all the best with the future red hunting...

Gidday guys, just a quick post im only fairly new to the fishing scene jus brought my self a nice boat and im keen to get out to botany bay and catch some big 1's.. hehe the main reason for this post is in regard to FISHING LINE AND HOOKS.. wats the best line to use for the bay brand and pounds???? also what hooks are the go?? id like to target flatties, bream, snapper and what ever else although i doubt if i ever hooked a KINGIE in the bay he wouldnt realy last long on 6lb line huh... At the moment i hav 6lb line on all my reels.. my 1st ever trip into the bay i had some EXCELLENT hook ups but the line just snapped... although i managed to surface a small port jackson but once he got close to the top he chucked a mental and snapped the line.. GREAT FUN tho.... so guys it be awesome if you have any hints tips or advice for me.. thankx for ya time fellas... good fishing and tight lines every1 water temp starting to rise a little in the bay BRING ON THE FISH Steve...

Gday All, Hello to every1 only new to the site.. well ive only just brought my self a boat a few weeks ago Quintrex 4.2m with a 40 yamaha on the back and today was only the 3rd time ive been out in it... havnt really had much success as im not to up 2 date with all the BOTANY BAY "HOT SPOTS" any ways headed out early this morning with a couple of mates.. beautiful morning we headed to the 3rd run way.. things were REAL slow just a few nibbles no hook ups.. we thought we'd head over to towra bay nd try drift for some flatties.. 1st baits in and i was on.. landed a very nice 53cm flattie geez was i pumped... then my mate hooked up and landed a 28cm flattie... but then things slowed down from there.. after no more luck we cruised back to the 3rd runway 4 another try... bingo after 10 or so mins we were in to it.. spent the next few hours there in total we landed 9 Quality trevs all Keepers avrg size was just over 30cms.. GeeZ they give a good little fight.. we decided to call it a day around midday GREAT day fishing now lets hope its a even better NIGHT watching the WESTS TIGERS win... P.S sorry no pics gotta get my self a digital camera now with the boat.. CHEERS fellas and remember tight lines..
