  1. Fished the Turon out of Hillend on Tuesday, was only a day trip, ended up with 2 yellow bellys around the 1-2 kilo mark. Fished out of canoe, not really deep about 1/2 m to 1mt in places plus a few deep holes. Overall a good day out. Left 6am got home to Blacktown at around 830pm. cheers Ron.

  2. I fished from it ,under it, when it was a timber bridge. Even got hit by a car. But seriously stay close to the shore line it can be bloody dangerous if the wind comes up. That was back in the early 60's cheers Ron.

  3. Is it just me being pedantic, or do other readers of this and other forums, also notice that more and more posts are being written without punctuation? No full stops, commas, capital letters, apostrophes or question marks. Did this punctuation-less form of communication have it's origin in our school system or has it just crept into modern English, like leet or texting? Do others find it more difficult to define sentences, or am I just being a crusty old curmudgeon?

  4. keep in mind though that IF you do get pulled over, the speed on your gps is irrelevant........ if the cop wants to get you he will.....

  5. I'm with Stewy on this one, I have a large heavy duty plastic drum( either a gherkin, cucumber or olive drum used to import from overseas.) I think they are about 200 lts. I then cut about one third off the top, drilled a hole in bottom and use a rubber bung for the outlet, for the filler I drilled a hole about 2'' down from the top and connected a few hose fittings to allow continuous supply of water. cheers Ron.

  6. The problem is really the angle so a pivoting trailer hitch could work. Any suggestions as to brands or Sydney based distributors?

Have a look at these mate, McHitch.com.au uniglide trailer couplings. located at Lithgow. Also with those "El cheapo" winches they will burn out, trying to pull heavy objects uphill over a distance. If you go a winch, either a Warn or a Thomas winch is the go. Both 12 volts, use a h/d battery on a three stage battery charger. Hope this helps. cheers Ron. "BE VERY CAREFULL",MAKE SURE THE HOUSE AND GARAGE SLAB IS NOT "A POD SLAB". cheers Ron.
