  3. Fished the Turon out of Hillend on Tuesday, was only a day trip, ended up with 2 yellow bellys around the 1-2 kilo mark. Fished out of canoe, not really deep about 1/2 m to 1mt in places plus a few deep holes. Overall a good day out. Left 6am got home to Blacktown at around 830pm. cheers Ron.
  4. I fished from it ,under it, when it was a timber bridge. Even got hit by a car. But seriously stay close to the shore line it can be bloody dangerous if the wind comes up. That was back in the early 60's cheers Ron.
  5. Great price on the rod there Shakeel, My next combo will be a stradic 3000fg with a 10-20lb terez for a bit more fun and games. cheers Ron.
  6. Recently went through the same situation, The old mind running a hundred miles an hour. I finally went a shimano stradic 5000fg reel and a shimano terez 15 to 30lb rod. Have'nt given a test run yet due to this bloody weather. cheers Ron.

  11. I'm with Stewy on this one, I have a large heavy duty plastic drum( either a gherkin, cucumber or olive drum used to import from overseas.) I think they are about 200 lts. I then cut about one third off the top, drilled a hole in bottom and use a rubber bung for the outlet, for the filler I drilled a hole about 2'' down from the top and connected a few hose fittings to allow continuous supply of water. cheers Ron.
  12. Have a look at these mate, McHitch.com.au uniglide trailer couplings. located at Lithgow. Also with those "El cheapo" winches they will burn out, trying to pull heavy objects uphill over a distance. If you go a winch, either a Warn or a Thomas winch is the go.   17. G/day SNAP-ER, I use AGM batteries, All Glass Mat batteries, fully sealed, so no acid leaks and they hold a better charge when not in use. ie storage.cheers ron.
