Hey guys! I'm trying to pick a reel to use for bass and bream fishing, and my top two are: • Shimano Stella 1000fd and the • Daiwa Certate finesse Custom 2004 I can get either reel at around the same price. So does anybody have any experience with either of these reels? and just generally which would people deem to be the better reel? Thanks for your help! Alex

So I went into the tackle shop yesterday afternoon and had a play with both the T curve tournament and flight 2 piece rods. I felt that the Flight was a better feeling rod, and felt very nice with the 2000 sol matched up with it. But then I had a go with the Flight in the 1 piece, and it feels ALOT more balanced and felt very nice with the reel attached. So do you reckon i would be better off going with the 1 or 2 piece? Seeing as 1 piece feels alot nicer, and the 2 piece is easier to transport? thanks

Thanks for the reply! So maybe the 1-3 lox won't suit me as well as i thought it would...Do you reckon I should go for a TCurve Tournament 2-5kg, or the TCurve Flight 1-4kg? would these rods would be about as sensitive as the lox is? thanks!

Thanks for your replies Poddy Trapper, maybe a shorter rod would be better for my bass fishing... I know that the lox rods come in 6'6 versions, but do you know if the Flights do as well? Roberta, it's good to know that the lox rods can land some tough fish! I have been reading reports that these rods are quite delicate, which turned me off them a bit. I think I might be leaning towards the lox because they come in a 6'6 version and because they are so light and comfortable! thanks

Hi, I am in need of a new lightweight rod that will mostly be used for bass fishing from a kayak. I am trying to decide between the TCurve Flight 1-4kg 2pce - and - the LOX 1-3kg 2pce rods. I'm thinking of matching this new rod with a TD SOL 2000 reel. So which rod do you think would be the better choice?? Thanks for your help! Alex
