  1. Thanks for the feedback guys regarding slime , we'll have to persevere until it all settles down I'll will try around woollaware bay sandflats hopefully pickup some nice flatties!
  2. Whet out for a flick today but I couldn't get around that slime in the water it seems to be everywhere at the moment .does anyone know how long it will be around for ? very difficult to fish with that around. Ended up with 4 flounder 3 good size tailor and 2 squid all in all great day . Beats working!
  3. THATS A GREAT CATCH!! I BET YOU WOULD HAVE HAD FUN BRINGING THEM UP. JUST WANDERING WHAT MODEL AND SIZE YOUR QUINTREX IS AN HOW DID IT HANDLE THE SLOPPY SEAS??
  4. Sorry for the late post everyone. Went out in the bay a week ago and hooked up on this with a pilchard as bait. Just sat down for a cuppa and then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. It took about 150m of line and put on a great fight. Wasn't sure what it was until i saw some colour and then i realised i hooked onto a shark . Not too sure but i think its a Bronze Whaler. Could someone please verify. It looked about 1.2 meters in length. Caught in middle of the Bay.
  5. Caught the bream on hawksbury peeled prawns and the jewie on squiggy 3inch flashprawn soft plastic
  6. We headed out for a fish at about 7am. We anchored near trevally alley. First cast and we were on to a solid 34cm bream. 8 more quality bream were caught throughout the day, the largest being 37cm. We then decided to go for a drift just outside towra on softies and landed a nice 64cm jewfish. We finished a great day with a squid. Its good to see that the bay is back in action!
  7. Nice work...its Michael by the way..hi.
  8. We headed out of the river with the boys and decided to anchor around the refinerery. We burlied hard for about half an hour and then we were just about to move spots and then next thing we knew it zzzzzzzzzzz....my eight year old was on to a big flattie. Minutes later, he was on again to a nice sized trev measuring 47cm....besides those fish it was pretty ordinary with a lot of undersized reddies caught on sp's. All in all we caught 5 keepers including a nice tailor, a bream and another flattie on sp's just wide of towra. It was a good day especially for my younger son who caught the two largest fish .
  9. definatly not as good eating as the smaller size ! It put on a great fight for a about 10 minutes when it finally surfaced we couldnt beleive our eyes the width of its head was the biggest we had ever seen
  10. Sorry guys for the late post... This beautie was caught down the lower reaches of the georges river near lugarno about two weeks ago. We caught it on a squidgey bloodworm s/p on a run in tide.
