  1. Is it possible to get them 'that' big? I have never seen them. But they would work perfectly.
  2. Thanks for your replies. I was after something a bit more permanent. If I used rope or occy strap I am worried that while the trailer is left parked at the ramp while I am out using the boat someone might help themselves to my pipes. I don't want to risk that seeing as how the set cost no less then $200.
  3. Hi all, I just bought some 150mm dia. PVC pipe to fix to the boat trailer which will hold my tent poles while on the road. If anyone else has done anything similar I'd be interested to learn how you fix it to your trailer. I don't want to drill or weld onto any of the existing members. I tried straping it but because I am strapping to members at 90 degrees to the pipe it looks messy. I was think of 'u' bolting so alu channel to cross members and then drilling / screwing into that. Thoughts?
  4. Hi, I will be down holidaying in Narooma in early Jan. Can anyone help me out with the best spots to prawn either land based or boat based. Also, if you can suggest the best part of the inlet to fish from a boat (I'm new to fishing) that would be great too. Thanks in advance.

I have noticed that caltex are phasing out the 91 unleaded (standard unleaded) and replacing it with E10. They also have 95 and 98 premium unleaded. I contacted shell and they informed me that they intend on doing the same. I think BP may have already done it too. I hate the idea of pumping E10 in my car but due to the km's I do it seems shortly I am not going to have choice. I have a 2000 model yammie 70hp 2 stroke. I have read that there is absolutely no benefit in using premium, but if std unleaded isn't available I imagine that premuim would be better then E10. Does anyone have any technical information on this?
  6. Hi There, I gave it a go on friday. was ther for about 2 hrs and caught 4 prawns. Then on saturday I went down near primbee and came home with about 50 which I was quite happy with. Not much to boast about, but enough for a light Sunday lunch, and a couple left raw for bait. Has anyone done any prawning in or around Narooma?
  7. Hi All, this is my first post on this site. There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum. I've tried prawning the channel in the lake twice over the last four weeks with no success . All the the information I can gather contradicts everything that I hear. Going by the fact it's now four weeks since you 'mamoth' haul on the the 13/11, am I right in assuming tonight is worth another shot? Thanks for any help.
