Was down there last weekend and caught two bream, one 29cm, the other 32cm. Cooked them after reading a recipe from the chat room, DELICIOUS. These are the first two fish Ive caught since I last fished, when I was 8 years old. Planning to go down there again, just wondered if anyone had knowledge of where is a good spot to fish around the island. Last weekend I was fishing off the rocks at a point.

Hi Mojjo, Im in the same "boat" as you. Have not fished since I was a kid. Today I went and bought a 10' rod with reel, couple of sinkers and hooks and some bait. Plan to get up real early to fish. If you see this before 10pm tonight, maybe we can meet up and have a fish. I have a car so can pick you up if needed. The other thing is, stick with this site cos there are brilliant people who will help us novices with advice etc. Something we both need!!!

Hi, Im a bit of a novice but have a car, maybe we should work something out on a weekend at some point? I have a small rod, a few hooks of various size, and about 6 sinkers left after last weekend. You on the otherhand, are probably better off and more experienced with fishing.

Just want to know some nice fishing spots on beach or safe rock fishing in the eastern suburbs. Also, if there's another novice who has no transport, maybe want to go for a fish if you are local. Not sure when I am going, but putting it out there.
