tim hunt

hi there raiders this is my first report,went out yesterday about 4am got a heap of yakkas waited for the sun to come up and then started hitting the buoys.we had no luck so we headed to the wedding cakes and anchored up for awhile no luck only got a keeper bream which went back and a heap of reds,oh and some idiots lure on my anchor rope who decided it would be a great idea to troll on top of people.so we moved a couple of more times with even less luck and then bang i found a good spot fish everywhere on the sounder,so out went the yakkas and the bait rods we were on.two great bream and a leather jacket finally then another boat turned up they dropped in and pulled a great kingfish up 60cm so they threw it back in good on ya boys,they left not long gone and ed was on he was using my plastics rod its very light so he thought he was on the bottom i looked over and saw the tip bouncing i knew he was on to something,so i coached him into to pulling it up i thought for sure it was a shovel nose shark when i saw colour but it was'nt it was the biggest flat head ever about 1m long i grabbed the net mean while ed decided it would be a great idea to turn the drag up he is still learning i put the net infront of this monster he did a big head shake and stapped off ow well she will live on to breed up more monsters.we decided to head for a troll headed along north head and bang eds rod started peeling off line then stopped i checked his line and it looked like the result of a poor knot we headed home what a great day fishing the harbour sorry no photos yet ill wait for another post when i have caught a monster

mate that sounds unreal i hope i can catch even half that tomorrow i would be happy with that any chance of gettin i gps mark of that spot ha ha would like to go there....
