you know ,it's funny but that is a good question?had rod sent from plat japan,no custumes duty,no gst.had gear sent from charkbait,,,total 798 us and got hit 49aus custumes duty and 149 bloody gst on top.then had one reel and rod ,nothing from us.now waiting for my new penn-16vsx and other items,should be here today or tommorrow.will let you know then about tax's.......one thing i have learned about overseas suppliers is that you can get a good deal like rigged your way at no cost.that might not sound like alot but when you think about 500mtrs of 80 braid and top shot fluro,and had to buy seperate than you see the cost.p.s. braid is braid but izorline is the best braid imo that i have ever used for deep jiging, and casting.and believe me i've used them all from a-z,from japan to rio.

i wonder if fisherman like hemingway and the like ever had these problems??daiwa and shimano are good companies but when does the tehnical stuff stop?example calcutta 250 dc[circuit board]in a fishing reel?i remember when i went from a fisherman to an angler!i once had the privlege of watching a coco's islander in a rusted v-hull doing battle with matlin with 200# mono by hand and land it and same man land a giant of a green warese bigger than the man himself,those moments are burned into my mind,not magnesium alloy,godzilith strand braid,spaceage graphite used on spaceshuttle,etc,etc,etc.anyway just what i think before i cork out for exist,not because it's the best but because i can enjoy my fishing that i love longer till the swell is no more!!!!

want to use rod for troll,stand-up,,,,,and hears the kicker"JIGGING" but with lighter two speed.sst-16 or penn16-vsx with 65-80 braid.worried about roller top compared to sic.any opinions?these 2-speed models have bulk tourque and good retrieve.enought to turn heads of nastiest hoodlum's?????what would you choose?and what lenght?

well i agree with your statement.i own 3 stellas,4,6,and 10.bought my partner a new spinner for fishing,got one daiwa force 3500 and believe me it kicks some serious butt for it's size. i then bought a blacksheep 300 for myself,brillent reel for jig.matched again with saltiga hirmasa rod.your right about quality of daiwa....by way,mr.harada is good-man.recently bought SHIMANO ocea freeman for med surf.this is were i go to see whats coming down the line............again,take the time to look outside thje picture!!!ta

hi,has anybody used a tiburon before?i have all rig's already but want to run tib-16[smart-shift] with 65-80 braid[ygk-hunter]for stand-up and for the bottom bashing!
