Hi, I am considering buying a fibreglass half cabin and would appreciate any feedback. Currently looking at a Freedom Escape 5.3m with a 115hp Yamaha, 1998 model. Don't know a great deal about this brand, so any advise would be great. This boat fits what I am looking for.I like the idea that it is a 5.3m, not too old, and comes complete with full canopy. I have two young boys, 6 and 2, and am looking at bay fishing/cruising. Live on the central coast, and would like to be a able to get down into Pittwater or around into the Hawksbury for an overnighter. Also like the idea of being able to go offshore without the boys, for some more serious fishing. Another boat I have been liking is a Haines Signature 1550f. I know everyone raves about the Haines. The down side of these, for me, comparing to the Freedom is 1. the smaller boat size (not sure if it will travel as welldown to Pittwater, or become overcrowded as the boys get bigger), 2. the smaller motor (have seen them with 60 or 75hp max), and 3. the older set-up, around a 91-92 model, boat and motor. Any advise, or feedback - good or bad - if you have one, know someone who has, or anything general to look out for would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Pete
