Look for coin sized covers on opposite sides of the motor (wrong machine but it will give you the idea). If they don't exist, it is likely to be brushless. You should be able to check if you search manual/parts diagram. In pdf format, just search for 'brush'. If it is brushless, you probably need a new one.
Mine Makita is 36V (2X18v batteries) and I consider that OK for doing all the edges with a metal blade and some slashing with the cord trimmer at the back on one pair of batteries. What you buy would depend on what you need to use it for.
thanks

I use Makita, not Ryobi and replaced brushes in my SDS drill recently. Brushes are much the same for most things that use them. The process to swap them over is fairly easy (but fiddly).
Take off the brush covers (either they'll screw all the way screw past a locking position they should come out but it may take some fenangling), remove the existing brush, taking care to check it orientation. Look for a wear indicator marker on the carbon block. Brushes tend to wear on one side more than the other. If it is worn to or past the indicator, reverse the orientation when you put it back. Do it on both sides. Assuming brushes are your problem, that should keep you going until you get another set.
Next problem is to find the manual (use Ryobi and the model plus 'manual' in a web search). Download it (when you find one you can download). You may find a parts diagram. If not, back the the internet and search for parts list/ parts diagram, etc. Find the part number.
Search eBay for the part number. You'll probably get a generic equivalent that lists your Ryobi part number.
You may even be able to find brushes to fit Ryobi {model number} without the hunt for the part number. If ebay fails, AliExpress may have them.
ive replaced the brushes in my cordless drill so ive got some idea ,, i just dont know if this model has brushes or doesnt , some of them dont i believe

If the brushes have worn out you’ll get loss of power from the motor and sparks shooting out of the motor. There will also be a smell - like a short circuit electrical smell.
Perhaps the bearings or bushes are starting to go.
cheers Zoranthanks Zoran ,

hi there raiders , i just spoted this post on MSN (the gardian ) they are talking about ocean eddies and how , as we head into summer, the giant eddy is unlikely to go anywhere. If it moves towards the coast, where marine life is concentrated, we will see water temperatures spike – and possibly, underwater disaster for many species. anyone know more about them the last one we had was in 2021 , thought this may interest some of you ,

there was a time when the weather reports were much more accurate , these days its anyones guess , anything less then 80% has been proven wrong at one time or another , so 20% chance means There is a 20% chance that at least some part of your region will get rain and then aqain maybe there will be no rain at all anywhere .

A really good power washer will get it off, but it will wash off some of the brick and mortar too…….maybe try some kind of “environmentally friendly” paint stripper you now that citrus kind if stuff?
thank you

I’m not too sure about how many spots, how big an area or the porosity of the bricks you’re talking about, but methylated spirits will soften water based paint. Pour some onto a rag, tape it over the effected area for a while to do its job, then remove the paint with a scraper.
As a builder, this has worked for me before, cleaning up after painters both out and inside.thank you for that , i certainly will give it a go ,

Turps is useless for water based paint! How big an area do you want to do? Is it just splashed on paint, or a painted area? What do you want to do with the bricks after you clean the paint off?
this is an old place ,splashes on old bricks , it will be only spot cleaning splashed paint , either 3 in one sealer primer undercoat or top coat either one water based , bricks will remain as is after cleaning

only splashed paint

What sort of area are you looking at and why are you wanting to take the paint off?
Do you know if an undercoat/primer was used?
exterior old bricks have splashed 3 in 1 sealer, primer, undercoat, or top coat either one water based , painted some security window bars and we got some of the paint on the bricks , not much at all but the boss lady will not be happy if we leave it the way it is

hello everyone , i tried removing water based paint from bricks using turps with no luck , does anyone know what to use please? thank you for your reply

did not think to ring Arlec , i will do that to begin with although i think they will charge a fair bit for a replacement if there is one , Torch i payed $55 from memory a couple of years ago , the information you provided ( 5volts at 500ma =milliamperes = 0.5 amp or more so a 1amp charger ) is exactly what i was looking for because when i looked at all the 5 v universal chargers on ebay , they had all these different options eg, 1amp, 2amp,3amp so i was not sure what to look for , all of the information you provided will get me what im looking for , i just have to look through it all and find the cheapest option , once again you have been very helpful , thank you kindly , leonard.

You could try one of these .
Really depends on what type of power socket/ jack it uses , it could be mini / micro usb , could be a barrel jack . Could you take a picture ( close up if possible ) of the power socket ? Does the torch have a charging/ charged indicator light ? I have seen some torches that have the charge control circuit built into the charger itself but not for a long time - most have it on the torch itself .
Hi there XD..., thank you for coming to my rescue once again , yes ! the torch has a light on the side of it , when its charging its red and when fully charged it turns green , sorry Dont have a phone to take a photo right now , the jack it uses is round bent and long very similar to the one on this photo, the power suply does not have any light on it ,

hello raiders ,, im here once again, question please , will a 3000psi (cold water) pressure washer remove loose water based exterior paint from roof eaves? the reason im asking is because i hate being on a ladder so im thinking about doing everything from ground level including removing the paint with a washer such as this one from bunnings hire. thank you for your answer
