Hey, im very much new to this forum and ive had a quick search but didnt find exactly what ive been looking for. Im after some advice on catching baitfish for fish in sydney. I normally pump for yabbies, catch crabs or use lures and try to steer away from dead & frozen bait. Im keen on finding out how to catch pillies and yellow tail and poddy mullet etc. And what types of nets would i need? Im from the Northern beaches, Sydney if anyone wants to share a few spots. Early the other morning on run in i was fishing more up towards the ocean mouth on the sand flats, got a nice mixed bag of whiting and lizards. Defs not slowing. Just got to drift your plastics a tad more and not be as violent on the strikes in my opinion.

Thats what i thought? My belief was not to catch anymore of the species untill its been eaten. Same with taking lobbies..

Ive had alot of luderick on plastics and a silver drummer on a gulp, but never seen a black drummer on one, nice catch!

Thats where i get in an out spearfishing, not much fish life apart from lizards in the sandline. All the decent fish, kingies and bonnies are off the point in the drift current. Try straight off the pool at whaley for salmon and tailor.

When i was heaps little and dad wouldn't take me fishing i decided to practise my casts on the back lawn, all fun until it flicked off a tuff of grass back at me and the mustard hook went thru my ear..
