Hi everyone, I took the kayak out in Pittwater this morning to see if I could find any kingies. It looked pretty dead (no squid, no yakkas, no surface action and no kingies) but I did pick up a 72cm jewie at Lovett Bay while flicking plastics around the moorings. I got the fish in 11.3m of water near the bottom on a 7inch jerk shad gulp on a 1/2 ounch 4/0 jighead under one of those massive yachts. Total fluke, but I have been out that many times for jewfish for nothing, I reckon I was due.. Phil

Hi everyone, Went fishing for blackfish in middle harbour on sunday. Arrived at 2.00 and left at 3.30pm for 8 fish between 30-40cm. I got a down on just about every run and lost a good deal more than I landed. Sadly I had to leave with them still biting. They are there in numbers if u can find the weed...

Landbased. I usually fish the weedbeds near the entrance. Start directly in front of Malcolm street and work your way west. It's been pretty poor this year probably because of the rain.

There are still a few around. I got a 71cm flatty in the pouring rain two weeks ago on a 3inch grub in banana prawn. I also picked up a second around 40cm within an hour and left because it was so cold.

Hi raiders, Went out off longy on my kayak on sunday morning. There were heaps of bonito (thought I bagged out but miscounted) the biggest was 55cm and 1.5kg. There were lots of schools on the sounder, with two double hookups. Also got a 47cm trevor, a jacket and 3.7kg 80cm trag. When I brought it in the whole schoool followed it up! All fish except the jacket were caught on hardbody lures. Cheers, Phil
