hi was wondering if any 1 could help me out i have a 1974 50hp outboard and im trying to connect the controls the two cables how do i know which one connect to which lever? and when in forward gear which way should i be able to turn the prop freely? and i know im stupid but on the outboard where does the negative and positive cables connect? in lamens terms please any help would be great cheers joe

hi thanks heaps huey the 50hp evinrude sounds great could you please tell me a bit more about it eg does it come with forward controls and is it power trim and tilt? my old engine is a 70hp seahorse 70 something model i think it has a cracked cylinder if i gave you the motor and the forward controls would it cover delivery and install?im in the roselands area cheers joe

Hi raiders just wondering if any one out there has a outboard 40hp to 70 hp for around the $2000 mark ive been serching for months and still cant find anything and what i have found was on online shop and just slipped away from me in the last mins of auction grrrrr. Ive also got my 7 year old at me every weekend when are we going fishing dad when are we going on the boat for some lizards in the bay grrrr im going mad!!! please raiders any assistance would be fantastic im also in the sydney area cheers!!!

Hi raiders was out in the bay the other weekend and cracked my head on my outboard grrrrr (( Just wondering if you fellow raiders out there have a 40 50 or 55 hp outboard you are willing to sell.Not looking for anything fancy just something reliable and cheap to take my 7 year old fishing again in the bay!He is having fishing withdrawals lol cheers! joe

hi Raiders. Just a quick question is it ok to use unleaded fuel mixed with 2 stroke oil in my 70 horse power 2 stroke jonson seahorse?Want to hit botany bay in my new well old runabout i just got.

Yep i finally bought my first runabout its a 15ft nautiglss v150 with a johnston 70 horsepower motor.Got it for $2500 nothing flash but it will keep me and my 7 yr old busy on weekends.Looking forward to catching a few kingies and jewies out in botany bay any advice would much be apreciated new to the site.
