  1. Ah Ok I see where the misunderstanding is.. I meant the tip of the northern break wall on the inside of the harbour, not the outside.. where everyone gets their bait Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  2. Very good information scarab, you'll also notice 2 yellow signs on either side of the inner harbour entrance depicting an invisible line where you cannot go past or fish... As it states, you're allowed to fish the outer harbour... I dont know what your point is with this comment? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  3. Haha that's tops! Are they good sizes around there? I've caught rats while trolling divers around the break wall tips before.. Always thought about throwing a live bait in that area, since there's plenty of livies there and we all know kingies hang around the bait schools Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah I've caught big kingies on bonnies and salmon before, just crazy what they'll hit hey! The slimie this guy hit was almost half his size lol.. and you're spot on with the bag limits, it's everyone's right to stay within the law but just because there's a limit there doesn't mean you have to keep that many.. It's like the bag limit on blue swimmers is 20 per person and countless times iv seen 2 people in a tinny with 40 crabs and brag about it.. ah wells the limits are there for a reason and must have had some sort of research behind them.. Ps kingy was yum
  5. Gday guys! First time doing a fish report so bear with me Well rumours were getting around of some stonker Kings being caught around Port Kembla islands, in particular the northern end of Pig Island. So today I launched out off Port Kembla with a mate and straight to our favourite bait spot which is the northern break wall point on the inner side of the harbour and managed to pick up a bunch of yellow tail and some biggg mackerel. We head out to Pig and I decide to stick to the age old theory, Bigger Bait = Bigger Fish.. So on go 2 Horse mackerel, bridled up nicely for a slow troll.. The day wasn't the best, battling 15 knot ENE and a very uncomfortable chop.. half hour in and BOOM one of the slimies gets nailed and sent the reel screaming for a solid 5 seconds before POP.. reefed! Before we had the chance to scream profanities into the air the other slimie gets nailed it's on! Well so I thought. . The fact that I was scull dragging this fish up wasn't a good sign and I was right... Rat kingy 67cm had taken on the horse mackerel head first and had no chance once the circle pinned him perfectly in the side.. This little king would have barely been able to fit the Slimie in it's mouth let alone eat the whole thing! Amazing just how big a bait they'll actually smash! So this is by no means a record breaker or a fish to brag about... but I had a drink bottle with me and a bit of a story I will add he was pretty fat for his length and fed 4 people hmmmmm Cheers! Corey
  6. Yeah that's for exactly what i have now using my frame.
  7. That's the guy i got the quote from ($445), he sounds like a very genuine guy and has been recommended by a few people... Think ill be going with him
  8. Ok so i rang the number on the canopy to no avail, number is disconnected .. So i contacted mobileboatcovers.com and received a quote of $480. Thinking this is too much, i contacted another mobile canopy trimmer with quote of $445. Does this price sound about right for a retrim?
  9. Thanks for the info Geoff! i had a look at the canopy and it has the trimmers name and phone number on it So if they are still in business i will get a quote from them and also the mobilebotcovers.com place and see what they come up with.. Cheers! Does anyone know what price i should roughly be expecting? so i know i dont have 2 places that are not trying to rip me off CHEERS!! Corey.
  10. Hey peoples! The canopy on my Ally Craft Premier is in desperate need of a resto or replacement. Trouble is, im not sure whether to have it re-trimmed or buy a new one. The side clears are in good condition so i don't need to re-trim or replace those. Im pretty sure i wont be able to find the same colour if i buy a new one, which matches the boats interior trim and exterior decals. Does anyone have a rough idea on prices? or other suggestions on what to do?... Cheers!!
  11. Excellent job mate! Not only does it look great but what a perfect outfit for bay fishn for kingys! Good to see you didn't cut corners and it sure pays off After seeing that conversion I'm keen to see the 25footer! Any pics??..
  12. Excellent! Thanks mate, now I can buy with more confidence they will actually fit haha.. If it's not too much trouble and you have pics of the eziguides on your trailer could you plz upload so I can check them out?... Cheers!
  13. Gday guys! im looking to buy a set of Eziguides this week for my trailer but am not sure if i will be able to mount them because i dont know if my boat sits far back enough to sit on the rollers. Does anyone have these eziguides and know how far back the boat needs to be so the eziguide dont close up when the boat is all the way on the traler??? I also already have 2 skid type pivoting bars either side of the first center roller which will need to be removed but are mounted in a welded on bracket, do i need to grind those brackets off?? Iv attached some pics which probably make more sense then what i could ever describe lol Any info will be greatly appreciated Cheers!
  14. Ah yeh looks good might grab one and check out the difference between using that and the high pressure setting on the trigger hose i have now.. Thanks Bender!
