Has anyone tried the cat food tin drilled with holes trick ??? Does it really work

Wanted to do the same this weekend but could not find any weed Any pointers well done on the black fish

late report fished north entrance beach from the 1st till the 5th of oct morning and night each day for a total of around 50 hours bait was live beach worms and fresh mullet all caught Thursday night . a total of 5 yes 5 bites ,one 3 inch flathead a little stingray and three bream biggest going a whole 18cm. all where taken on the worms where are all the fish gone ?? i always end up with a feed no matter what time off the year I fish up their .

mate as far as bait I have had great results with carp for bait . mud crabs seem to love it not so much the blue swimmers also yabbies' can not resist it . outside I have done well on snapper and flathead using carp strips for bait as burley I mix it with chicken frames and old bread and run it through a macerator freeze in into two kg blocks and drop it into the burley bucket as required . it melts slowly giving a constant flow of burley and at cost peanuts to make , I am pretty shore this is all legal but if not I am happy to be told other wise PS: THE ONLY GOOD CARP IS A DEAD CARP

one inch micro vibes with a 1/0 assist hook tied on a inch behind them and 3 inch soft plastic on a 4/0 hook 1/8 jig head and yes a coldie or two for the clean up and wash down most fish were taken in the upper parts of the river

done a bit of trolling for something different on Saturday had a lot of fun the king went 66cm but got bustered of and spooled bye some larger models all in all a productive morning back at the ramp by 10 am was surprised bye the number of blue swimmers spotted in 3feet of water along the sand banks driving back to the ramp might take the goggles and flippers next time and grab a feed of crabs as well .

fished the river sat from 6am till 12 noon ,bar point to spencer very quite two flathead 50 and 52 cm one blue swimmer crab we were armed with 10 traps for the crabs and live poddy mullet for the for the fish , told the mate we would clean up on crabs and fish but it was not to be did anyone else have the same experience ,??? I put it down to too much fresh in the river maybe we should of fished the front (flint and steel )

mate I am having trouble finding some weed could you suggest where I mighty find some so I could hook in to a few myself

hi top catch , can i ask where are you getting your weed from ?? i have been looking arounf the gorges river / kelso park and can not find a strip .

Had the bug yesterday and braved the rain fished at dy beach after catching a few beach worms, I tryed to find a nice little gutter to snag a whiting or two. I ended up in front of dy lagoon , I got 4 for the table and one dart. The highlight was when the council dug a trench to allow dy lagoon to flow and freshen it up. I thought was I saw the odd turtle getting washed out but on closer inspection on the third black blob that was washing out to sea, it was to my surprise a big buck mud crab... I saw two more before I pulled stumps but wondered all night how many more slipped out under the cover of night ..

thinking of taking the boat out to fish the river on the weekend has anyone been fishing wisemans of late ???

was hoping there would big some up here that woulod foot the bill ,i have always gone to windang to get my squirtys big and fat one per bait how much smaller are they up this way ??? thanks

went down to the cooks river for a quick flick with some plastic,s ended up with a big ) ,but had the %$#$@ scared out of me when a seal YES a seal chased up the softy right to the side of the boat than turn quickly when he had seen my ugly mug , has any onr else see them down there ??? not something i expected to come across got a short video on my phone can any one tell me how to up load it so all can see

i went down last dark and pick up 6kg and 9 nice crabs ,had a line out the back and scored 7 monster winting,prawns were a bit small but sweet the next dark should see some bigger ones .
