Hi All, Just back in from another quick 4hr session on my favorite peice of bass water. After the high of lasts weeks PB bass 505mm (pics and trip report to come), I was keen to get back a couple on the bass that have cost me some heavy hardware losses in the last couple of weeks ! This time I took the trusty 6wt fly rod out for shits and giggles, flys are cheaper to loose that SB's! I managed to net 5 fish to 43cm with 2 being fly caught and the rest on SB's. I also managed to set a new PB on fly of 42cm , which really put a bend in the 6wt! The total was 42cm, 43cm and 3 below 20cm (not measured)! Anyway here are the pics, enjoy. I should sleep well tonight, I've managed about 16k's of kayak fishing in 3 days! Cheers Nick.

Good one Hodgey, this is my 1st paid rod (the rest have been slab of beer jobs). It for a very keen snapper fisho off the rocks, He collected it last night and was stoked with how it turned out. By the way mate, it really was this big !!!! Come in, I'll show you pics!! Nick.

Finally finshed the last of 3 project I have been working on, a 14' snapper rod for chasing big red from the stones. The rod has come up a treat. Really happy with the finish and look, and will be even happier to get such a long rod out of my 2 bedroom unit. Blank is a pacific composites SU 7153 100-150gm cast weight. All components are ALPS in chrome and or cobalt blue. Grips are cord under with X patterned heat shrink over. Grip setup is to suit an overhead reel. Madeira thread, (3 colours of blue) with metallic silver and cobalt blue trim bands to tie in with the guides. Should be good with a nice big snapper pulling on the other end. You may even see it in the pages of Fishing Monthly NSW some time .

Yeah, I have a 14'er snapper rod for the rocks on the go, and a 7'6" Samurai 3-5kg spin stick bream, bass, whiting, and flatties also on the go. Lounge room looks like a tackle shop has exploded !! should have the samurai finshed by wednesday.

Hi All, Just completed this for a freind of mine. It is a 6'6" 6-10kg Pacific Composites Clear tip glass blank with ALPS guides and reel seat. It has heaps of balls this rod and will serve him well.
