  1. Look for AGM Battery I use a Deka SEA Mate 105 Ah, 800CCA with my 55lbs Minn Kota and very happy with my setup. Get the right charger for your battery and straight after use hook up the battery to your charger. Keep the battery fully charged all the time. Roland Sent from my GT-P6800 using Tapatalk 2
  2. I like the Ramp at Mooney Mooney, if you like to explore the the area around Bar Point, north of Berowra Waters and Milsons Point. The Ramp at Brooklyn (Parsley Bay) is good as well and you can explore the area aound Dangar Island and the middle of the Hawkesbury, I like the new Jetty at Parsly Bay and it's easier when it's windy. But maybe the best option for you is Apple Tree Bay down at Bobbin Head. You save a lot of time going down from the Pacific Hwy at Turramurra. Cowan Creek is good fisching and calm water, I like Jerusalem Bay and from there it's under 10 min to the Hawkesbury. If you go up to Brooklyn it takes another 30-40 min from Turramurra. The only thing is the 11 bugs for National Parks at Bobbin Head, but that the 11 bugs you save on fuel
  3. Do you have an iphone/ipad? You can get the new Navionics App AU&NZ for $15.99. It works quite well as a backup or second chart plotter. I have the old and the new App on my phone. What I like with the new app, you pick the map of the area you need and the map will be stored on your phone. so it will work without mobile reception.
  4. Sounds like a very nice day. Nice catch! If you like to set up an international beginner team just let me know, I take the German spot. I would love to learn how to catch fish and I'm sure I can the missile trick as well :-) Cheers JR
  5. Good stuff. I would love to get your technics and spots in Berowra Creek :-) It's really amazing stuff. Maybe you get all the fish there and that's the reason why i never catch one.... Nice work and thanks again for the report! JR
  6. Thanks a lot for the tip. Will try next time and let you know how it went. I guess I need to put more rod holders on my little tinnie. What sort of boat you got? The ferry 'master' told me last Sunday, the guys fishing from the rocks next to the ferry pulled a 4/5 kg Jewfish minutes before I went on the ferry. Cheers JR
  7. Well done and good start! I was on the river(Berowra) last Sunday without any line action at all. But the weather and water was fantastic. I'm still looking for a good spot at Berowra Waters, may you can help? Reversing the trailer is easy work some days and other days are nearly imposible. No rush at the ramp and you'll be fine. Cheers, see you on the water JR
